Making Sense of 2020
November 3, 2020: Waiting For Election Results
Making Sense of 2020
The Lord spoke to me near the end of 2019 that 2020 would be a year of clear vision. I was expecting clear vision relating to God’s plans and our part in it, which is an ongoing revelation. But the clarity of vision that has developed this year has also included a clear view of Satan’s plans. The deep state Marxist globalists have made their boldest move yet. The riots and looting in the streets, the obvious corruption of the media, the blatant interference of the social media giants and the use of the COVID-19 “plan-demic” to control the world has presented a clear vision of our enemy.
By piecing together the obvious, what I have heard from various prophetic voices and what I have heard directly from God, this is what I expect to see unfolding in the weeks to come. We will soon see, but here is general picture of how I expect it play out:
- President Trump declared the winner of the election;
- A period of unrest and violence from the anti-Christian elements on the left that will further reveal the enemy’s plans and true nature;
- The violence to be crushed and the enemies fading away and seeming to disappear;
- A season relative peace and rest.
A Dangerous Time
When the dust has settled, and it seems as though things are getting back to normal, we will encounter a very dangerous time. The danger I am talking about is the danger of a false sense of security which comes with winning. We must not allow ourselves to fall into the same old ruts of inaction. We must not forget what we have seen in 2020, but let it launch us into the purpose God has for us in the next season. God allows the enemy to make trouble for various reasons, one of which is to teach the people or God to how to fight, as shown in the scriptures below.
Judges 3:1-2 (NKJV):
Now these are the nations which the LORD left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan (this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it)
Psalm 144:1 (NKJV):
Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle
A friend of mine recently heard the Lord speak to his heart the following scripture: “Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off." (1 Kings 29:11). As we keep our armor on, we cannot afford the luxury of disengaging from war and acting as if the battles are over. Whether militarily with bullets and bombs, culturally with politics and propaganda, spiritually with prayer and proclamation or all the above, war is a reality. If liberty is to be a manifest reality, every generation must learn war and be willing to fight for it.
The desired product of victory in a righteous war is good government that will protect the rights of the individual under God. This is stated in the Declaration of Independence which tells us that rights come from God and the purpose of government is to protect those rights. Now is the time for Christians to rise up and take their place in a governmental roll. Those who are fresh from the battlefield are uniquely motivated to build a government that is prepared to defend liberty and truth. To a degree this is where we stand after this election. Though we may win a battle, the war is not over. We have seen the enemy face to face and we know he will be back. There is work to do.
The Battle Lines Are Drawn
In Bible times, the gates of a city is where the leaders/elders of that city would sit and govern what and who came in and out of the city. The ekklesia was similar, it was the term used to describe the governing assembly. In that context, Jesus said, “I will build My ekklesia, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18). This statement draws the battle line between the governing powers (gates) of hell and the governing powers (ekklesia) of God.
This same battle line has been drawn in our time. As the household of God, we cannot continue with the same “business as usual” approach to our Christian faith. God is raising up a functioning network of ekklesia groups who know how to operate in the kind of spiritual authority that produces positive results in the natural world. As we do so, we may indeed be determining which communities will be places of refuge protected from destruction when the enemy makes his next play for power. Our obedience in this area will ultimately determine whether our nation is a sheep nation or a goat nation (see Matt 25:31-33).
Establishing the Ekklesia
I believe it is time to build a network of ekklesia groups who are unified around a common vision and understand their spiritual authority to function governmentally. I do not claim to have the complete understanding of how to build this network, but I don’t have to - Jesus said He would build it. But I do understand that He will use regular people like you and me and He is looking for those who will hop onboard.
Plans to launch online training for these ekklesia groups are in the works. For now, please pray about inviting 2 or 3 others to join you in this study with the possibility in mind of forming one of these Ekklesia Groups. Sign up for Info & Updates for the latest information.
